**Youth 15,000 By 2015 Project Update**
As many of you know, in February of 2014 our Youth group decided that they wanted to try to make a positive difference in the world by doing as many good deeds as they can during the year as well as promoting others to do good deeds too. They set a goal of trying to accomplish 15,000 Good deeds by January 1st 2015. Over the last ten months the kids have helped in our church as well as other churches, they have helped their friends and families, they have strangers, they have helped at places in the community, and even at places like Feed My Starving Children where they send food to children in need all over the world. By December 8th they not only accomplished their goal, but surpassed it. They are currently at 16,648 Good Deeds, and they have not stopped. (YAY!) It was an amazing journey, with a lot of doubts in the beginning, but they would like to thank everyone who encouraged them and helped them along the way. THANK YOU!
Youth have been very busy at Minnehaha, here are some photos of what we have been up to. For example, the Youth helped to serve food for Rally Sunday:
Youth also ran the Dunk Tank at Rally Sunday:
They helped serve Enchiladas with Rick Anderson to raise money for MinneHarvest.
They took a trip to Feed My Starving Children and packed enough food to feed 37 children for a whole year.
They spent an evening making and packaging sandwiches for the homeless.
Three Confirmands became new members of the church. Yay!
And we took a great trip to the High Ropes Course at Mall of America to have some fun!
