Minnehaha UMC Youth Schedule

7th - Sunday Festival! aka: Rally Sunday/Sustainable Market: Services start at 10:00 outside, followed by a Sustainable market, Live music, Bike rodeo, Food, Kids games, and a Dunk Tank. This year our Youth program will be in charge of Cooking/Selling food as well as running the Dunk Tank. For this to all run smoothly I am looking to have Youth help set-up and run the food table from 10:00-12:00, and then when the Dunk tank opens at 12:00 the Youth will move to run the tank while (hopefully) we have some awesome parents who will volunteer to take charge of the Food table for us from 12:00-2:00! Please let me know if you can help!

10th - Youth Night: (Youth Grades 6th-12th) Kickoff Youth Night event for the new school year! We are inviting and welcoming our new 6th graders to the Youth Group, having pizza together and planning our outings and events that we would like to do in the next year. Then ending the night with a game or two. Goes from 6:30-8:00 in the 3rd Floor Youth room. Parents are welcome to join us! Guaranteed to be a evening of fun and fellowship.

17th - Confirmation Kick-off: (Youth Grades 6th-9th) We are welcoming our new 6th graders to our Confirmation Group and celebrating the start of a ALL NEW year and program. We are meeting in the 3rd floor Youth room at 6:30 for games and mixers and the introduction to the Confirmation program for 2014-2015. This will include a curriculum summary, calendar of key activities, and a brief discussion of the new plans. Please join us and hear what the plans are!

25th - Feed My Starving Children: (Youth Grades 6th-12th) Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, and they ship those meals to nearly 70 countries around the world. We will be leaving Minnehaha at 5:30pm and will be expected back around 8:30pm. Please RSVP to this event so we can have proper transportation available. Thank you.

26th - Youth Overnight to make 1,000+ Sandwiches for Homeless:
(Youth Grades 6th-10th) Youth are staying overnight at Minnehaha and will be working together to build and wrap at least 1,000 sandwiches for the homeless. (As well as have a lot of fun!) We are starting the night off at 7:00pm, and are asking each youth to bring $10.00 to help pay for sandwich materials as well as snacks and breakfast. Pick-up is at 9:00am Saturday morning.

I can see great times ahead at Minnehaha. I hope to see you there!
