Youth Ministries

We seek to provide people with opportunities to know God; to experience God's abounding love, and with Christ as our guide, to fellowship with others as we seek, serve, and celebrate. Through our programs, people will explore what it means to be a child of God, and how we might live in such a way that others will come to know Christ.

We Meet Every Sunday

Sunday Morning Worship
On Sunday mornings, we encourage you to worship with us as a family. We offer two services, at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

Sunday Afternoons from 3:00 – 4:30 PM
We have Youth Group and Confirmation on Sunday afternoons from 3:00 – 4:30 PM. Programming for our Middle Schoolers and Confirmands will happen three weeks a month, and the entire combined youth group — 6th through 12th grades — will meet together once a month. (Beth and Paul Minehart will work with the 10th through 12th graders based on their schedules.)

We Also Meet on Wednesday Evenings from 6:15 – 7:00 PM

This year, we're offering mid-week programming on Wednesday evenings from 6:15 to 7:00 p.m. (Following the all-church Wednesday Night Suppers at 5:30 p.m., in case you're interested.) Our Wednesday Evening Youth Program will be for combined 6 – 12 grade classes; we'll mix up what we do each week to keep it interesting. For example, on September 19, youth brought their bicycles to church and Terry Eichten did a crash course in bicycle maintenance with them.

Minnehaha UMC Hosts "Urban Bound" Youth Mission

We're hosting "Urban Bound" – bringing together youth from Minnehaha UMC and out-state Minnesota to do service projects, explore the city and build friendships – on July 28 through 31 for youth entering 9th through 12th grades. Contact Jenia at education@minnehaha.org for more information.
