PARENTS NIGHT OUT ON SAT., DEC. 2 FROM 5-8PM: This is a fun-filled evening for children 4th grade and under (yes, including babies!). It's also an opportunity for parents to take a break…meet up together to socialize, Christmas shop, relax and take a nap, or whatever. Childcare and dinner are provided. $10/child with a $25 family max. Contact the church office to register.

ALL-CHURCH CHRISTMAS CAROLING ON SUN., DEC. 3 @ 4PM: All ages are invited to meet at church and go Christmas caroling around the neighborhood, including inside Nokomis Square. Get into the Christmas spirit. Join us!

CELEBRATE THE BEGINNING OF ADVENT ON SUN., DEC. 3: Everyone is invited to celebrate the beginning of Advent at 10:45-11:30AM on Sunday, December 3. Decorate the Narthex Christmas tree! Make an Advent Wreath! Shop for Christmas gifts for family and friends (kids only)!

FEELING A LITTLE BLUE FOR CHRISTMAS? You are invited to rest awhile in silence, in quiet music, and in the glow of candlelight as we observe our Blue Christmas Taizé service on December 15 at 7:00 p.m. Join with others for an hour of reflection and rest as we continue to find God's presence in our lives.

THE CHRISTMAS PAGEANT IS COMING! Our original, one-of-a-kind Christmas pageant returns on December 17 at 4:00 p.m. This year’s pageant is titled: “The Angel and the Intern.” As always, there'll be shepherds, magi, angels, puppets, bell ringers, camels, and the baby Jesus. Join us!

NEW & IMPROVED GYM IS READY TO USE: If you haven’t seen the gym lately, take a look! We replaced the south wall, installed a Sport Court floor, added an air handling system, and repainted everything. Now it’s a real gym for everyone to enjoy, thanks to recent member bequests, memorials, and rental contracts. Check with the office about reserving it for an event, activity or just for fun.

BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO. The Global Methodist Church – a new, theologically conservative Protestant denomination based in the United States – separated from The United Methodist Church on May 1. The main issues for the split are the ordination and marriage of LGBTQ+ United Methodists, and the acceptance of homosexuality in the church.
